Bobby Beathard Alzheimer’s Battle

Bobby Beathard, the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame general manager Bobby Beathard, died on January 30, 2023, at the age of 86, according to The Washington Post.

According to the Post, he died in Franklin, Tennessee, of complications from Alzheimer’s illness.

When Beathard spoke in detail, recalling the names of coaches and players, as well as their physical features and mannerisms, some questioned whether he was genuinely fighting Alzheimer’s on a daily basis.

Then, as if saying it for the first time, he repeats the same story and extends the same greeting minutes apart, and we understood the struggle was real.

But, until his death, Beathard maintained the same grin, grace, and self-deprecating humor that made him beloved by everyone who knew him.
